Salesforce Sales Cloud as a HubSpot alternative: depth at a price

Salesforce sells Sales Cloud in editions from a Starter Suite at $25 a user a month to Max at $5501. For a company moving off HubSpot, the question is which edition the team actually needs and what Agentforce adds on top.
Best for: Companies that expect to grow into a large, customised sales organisation and want Agentforce on the same platform.
Not the right fit for: Small teams leaving HubSpot because of cost and complexity; most AI agents sit on higher editions or paid add-ons.
What Salesforce offers
Starter Suite includes AI that syncs emails, events and contacts, email and calendar integrations, Slack conversations and a conversational assistant; it can also run multi-email nurture campaigns12. Pro Suite adds advanced automation and customisation and requires annual billing, as do Core, Advanced and Max12. Salesforce describes Agentforce agents that handle lead follow-up, surface customer history and keep the pipeline updated2. Agentforce for Sales is sold as an add-on from $125 a user a month, and Max bundles Agentforce for Sales with Flex Credits1.
Salesforce also publishes a large annual sales survey; its 2026 edition is cited elsewhere in this guide as research rather than as evidence for the product.
